One of our very own CPA mompreneurs has an immediate spot available on her team.

This accounting firm owner is based in the Chicagoland area and provides virtual accounting services to Interior Designers nationwide. Most of her clients earn between $1-10m in revenue and have an average of 2-5 employees. Because this firm’s clientele is mostly mompreneurs, they are quite respectful of your time. No work during the evenings or weekends.

This position will manage the day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of clients which may include accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliations, month-end close and related schedules, financial reporting and analysis, and client management.

You must be experienced with entrepreneurial clients, be able to work independently with little guidance, have the initiative and drive to take responsibility for meeting client deadlines, and be comfortable working in a virtual environment.

The position will start as a part-time 1099 independent contractor and may turn into a full-time W2 employment position after a trial period. The position will be 10-15 hours per week to start, with the potential to build up to 30-35 hours depending on business needs.

COMPENSATION: Up to $50/hr

Please only apply if you have the following:

  1. At least 5 years of accounting experience at a corporation (not just public accounting firm)
  2. Accounting Manager – Controller level experience
  3. At least 10 hours of availability
  4. High proficiency with QBO
  5. Active Licensed CPA

Optional requirements (Priority is given to those who have the following background):

  1. Experience with Studio Designer or Ivy Mark
  2. Industry experience with interior design companies
  3. Sales tax experience in multiple states
  4. Payroll tax experience
  5. You live in Illinois
